No news from Levante

On Sunday 21st September, FC Barcelona won 0-5 against Levante.
This was not the best game so far from Luis Enrique's players.
But it did show:
a) How the team reaccomodated to get more from Messi.
b) That Neymar is in good shape and enjoys his new role.

Here are my notes I left on twitter.

I only considered the game when 11 vs 11, until Levante’s defender was sent off.

1) Barcelona played usual 4-3-3. But Messi started more as "10" than "9", creating a diamond midfield.

2) Barça was not finding Messi at the beginning of the game. Only 2 touches during the first 15 minutes.

3) After 15 minutes, Messi left the very center to start more from the right side. Rakitic left him the space.

4) Starting more on the right, Messi could receive the ball looking at the goal. He was easier to find for his teammates

5) Messi made much more touches from min.15 to 30 than during the first 15 minutes.

6) Messi got into play and Levante started to suffer his passes.

7) Neymar played a very good first half. He knew how to threaten space and give support.

8) On the first goal, Barça mixed passing quality from Messi and attacking from Neymar. And poor defending from Levante.

9) Neymar was also a passing option even for the centerbacks. They took advantage of the high line from Levante.

10) On the defense side, we could see Neymar giving a hand.

11) The newest thing we could see was a Barcelona midfielder tracking back and saving a goal. Rakitic !!

3 points more for Barcelona, leading the Liga.

Next game against Málaga.
Let's see if Luis Enrique shows us more !!
